Dr. Gaudenz Danuser

Gaudenz Danuser is Co-Director and Head of Computational Biology at the Institute of Human Biology (IHB), Roche, Basel. Prior to joining Roche, he held faculty positions at ETH Zurich, The Scripps Research Institute, Harvard Medical School, and served as founding Chair of the Lyda Hill Department of Bioinformatics at UT Southwestern. His research focuses on quantitative imaging, AI/ML, and causal inference to understand how cell morphology and signaling networks drive cancer progression and drug resistance. He leads interdisciplinary teams integrating imaging, computation, and systems biology.
