Prof. Rima Al-Awar

Rima Al-Awar is Vice Provost for Research Innovation and Commercialization at New York University Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She previously held senior leadership roles in pharmaceutical R&D at Eli Lilly and led the Drug Discovery Program at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research in Toronto, Canada. She is a recognized expert in translational research, innovation strategy, and academia–industry partnerships. Al-Awar holds a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry and has served as a professor at the University of Toronto.
